Delaware Assessment of Strengths and Needs for Positive Behavior Supports (DASNPBS)

The DASNPBS a tool designed to help schools assess their strengths and needs in the four major components of schoolwide discipline: Implementing Schoolwide and Classroom Systems, Developing Self-Discipline, Correcting Behavior Problems, and Providing Targeted and Intensive Behavioral Supports.

DE Strength and Needs Assessment for PBS	This is the survey used to help schools assess their strengths and needs in the four schoolwide discipline categories. This examines both school-wide and classroom settings	Teams can use this document to prepare for the DASNPBS by examining the criteria for each component.

Discipline Data Reporting Tool (DDRT)

The DDRT is designed to help schools analyze their office discipline referral rates per month for the current school year. The referral data is also compared to the previous years as well as the national and state averages for referral rates.

Cost Benefit Analysis Worksheet	This tab within the DDRT template allows teams to determine the amount of time regained or lost (for students and administrators) for referrals between the current and the previous year. The directions for using the cost-benefit tab are included in the document	Teams can use this sheet to action plan based on the time regained or lost due to referrals. For example, if time was regained after implementing a certain initiative this year, it would indicate that this initiative was effective and should be continued.
2020-2021 DDRT Template- 2 year	This tool allows schools to analyze their discipline referral rates per month for the current school year and compare their results to the previous year, as well as national and state averages	Teams can use this tool as a way to track their referral rates each year and identify data trends within their own school and compared to national and state averages

DE-PBS Key Feature Evaluation

The Key Feature Evaluation (KFE) is a tool used to provide feedback to schools based on their school-wide PBS program and implementation. Four specific sections are evaluated: School-wide PBS Tier 1, Prevention: Implementing School-wide & Classroom Systems, Correcting Problem Behavior, and Developing Self-Discipline.

Key Feature Status Tracker	This checklist outlines the major components for each KFE section and allows teams to indicate the extent to which the component is in place	Teams can use the status tracker to determine which aspects of schoolwide PBS are in place, partially in place, or not in place and action plan accordingly. Some teams choose to utilize this tool prior to receiving a Key Feature Evaluation.
Key Feature Status Tracker Template 1 Year	Like the status tracker document, this tool provides a checklist for the major components of each KFE section and also includes a graph to map scores for up to TWO years	Teams can use this tool to track progress of implementation of KFE components from year-to year.
Key Feature Status Tracker Template 2 Year	This tool provides a checklist for the major components of each KFE section and includes a graph to map scores for up to FOUR years	Teams can use this tool to track progress of implementation of KFE components over multiple years, and determine if progress has been made.

Team Meeting Resources

Below are resources that may be used to help structure and organize team meetings in your school. These may be PBS-specific, focus on problem-solving, or account for different meeting frequencies.

Meeting Minutes Problem Solving Action Plan	This document can be used to record meeting minutes and has an action plan section designed for problem-solving	Teams can log their meeting discussions using this tool, but also outline needed steps to solve problems identified within the meeting
PBS Team Meeting Minutes Form	This document provides a PBS team meeting outline that walks teams through reviewing school-wide data and identifying action steps	School-wide PBS teams may want to use this outline to help structure team meetings, review data, and action plan
Meeting Roles – Table Tents	These table tents have the names of different meeting roles written on one side and a description of their job duties on the other	These table tents can be used in a meeting to identify roles for all participants and remind them of their role throughout the meeting
Meeting Facilitation Guide	This guide provides advice for planning for and structuring essential parts of a meeting, as well as addressing different meeting roadblocks	This guide may be helpful to meeting facilitators in building their meeting management skills by providing multiple, specific behaviors they can use in different meeting situations

Tier 1 Leadership Team	This document allows teams to identify members for the Tier 1 team and assign meeting roles.	Teams can use this document to organize their team members and roles.
Tier 1 Team Meeting Checklist	This document outlines steps for teams to take before, during, and after a Tier 1 meeting.	Teams can use this checklist to determine which steps they are completing throughout their tier 1 meetings and which ones they need to improve on.
Technical Guide for Alignment of Initiatives	This guide explains the steps to take in order to align multiple school initiatives with programs that the school currently uses.	Teams can use this document as well as the action planning tool to  coordinate the alignment process, define outcomes, and design plans for program alignment.

Conducting a Focus Group Guide	This guide includes information on how to conduct a focus group; including sample questions, how to recruit participants, conducting the focus group, and analyzing the data.	Facilitators may find this document helpful for outlining the beginning stages of organizing and running a focus group
Problem Solving Guide – Template	This template allows teams to analyze a problem, create a measurable goal and action plan, and how to monitor fidelity and outcomes.	Teams can use this template to focus on a problem they reference in their data and to create a plan and monitor the outcome.
